Hindu Terror capturing great heights

Latest reports tell Over 100 people have been killed in Mumbai Terrorist attacks by Hindus.

This comes just 10 days after a report appeared in International media about the range of Hindu terrorists and their future planning.

Although a muslim organization has accepted the terrorists killings but it might very well be the backdoor allieng of Hindu organiztaions so that a voice can be raised against the present congress regime to plain the way for landslide victory of BJP and thus mass killing of Muslims just like in the previous regime of BJP in the PM ship of Atal Bihari Vajpai.

These terrorists attacks have shocked the world as it came just months before the general elections in India. BJP now will get mass support of Hindu vote.More....

Obamanian Nation

Nov ,5 has witness the biggest change in the winning of Obama. Countries like Pakistan can also dream of such change .

imran

Many people think that Such change is also possible and needed in our country too but these people are often labelled optimistic by our ruling classes of today.

But , let us analyze whether there are any chances to find an Obama in our country who can overthrow 60 years of defeat and corruption and misery . It is point of great hope and optimism that our media has opened up the minds of our lower classes and those labelled as tyrants and rude as well.

Over past decade one name that has came to lime light is that of Imran khan but his boycott of Feb ,18 elections has completely knock him out from our system but it is the time for Imran to launch mass support campaign like Obama did in his win because if our younger generation get involved in this then there will be no one to even match him.

Imran Khan has really shown and proved that he is really for change but this time he has to come forward and do some upset for the Nation. This is not going to be easy but he has to start campaign from now to hold his chances .

This is the time to replace PPP in next elections because it has failed to rise to the occasion after the death of Benazir and Zardari is just time passing and it has become necessary to change PPP with some progressive party like Threek-e-insaf.

Are we too going to be an Obamanian Nation, well, we have to wait for some years.

Javed Ch fires Najam Sethi and Salman Taseer

Some days ago renowned columnist and anchor person of Express news TV Javed Ch wrote a column in which he highlighted the character of Najam sethi, editor of 'Daily Times' and Governor Punjab Salman Taseer. This has evolved a controversy.

Javed Ch writes" In 1997 Najam sethi visited India and there ridicule the Pakistan ideology and the principles of Islam . Moreover , Najam sethi is running a NGO in Lahore which is sponsored by India and America because of its Anti Pakistan ideology. Najam sethi blatantly criticizes the fundamentals of Islam and is very fond of dogs".

Javed Ch writes further" Musharraf has told me in his meeting that Najam sethi compelled me to carry out Lal masjid operation and after the operation these people ran away".

Javed ch is cautious of the fact that new government is also acting in the hands of people like Najam sethi because these people are no good for any government nor for people of this country .

Moreover, Javed Ch has also wrote on Salman taseer saying he has millions of tax to pay and he has married a sikh women in India and he has a son from her too but why he has kept all this secret and recently he has been found to transfer his money abroad. Javed Ch requests President Zardari to order a investigation against Governor Salman taseer as well.

Although the apology of group editor Abbas Ather has published the next day but we have to admit that this is the first column of such nature by Javed Ch and we don't know what was his inspiration.

Tuesday,Sept,16;President Zardari has met British PM Gordon Brown and raised the problem of attacks from across the border on Pakistani soil.
After the meeting, talking to media ,Zardari expressed his hope that there would be no attacks on our soil from across the border. Zardari visit to U.S from 21st will be crucial in this respect and decisive too.
Zardari i s a politician and he should present the case in a different way than the previous unelected regime of Musharraf.
American Admiral Michael Mullen has also reached Pakistan and he has met with PM Gillani and Chief of army staff Gen Kiyani. This visit is very significant after Pakistan's protest to the U.S attacks.

Increase in U.S attacks,a constant danger

As the transition of power has completed in Pakistan from military rule to civilian rule , there are grave threats facing this country. The dangerous of those is the sovereignty of this nation.
Every day there are attacks from across the border forces those lead by NATO and U.S arm forces on our territory and the irony of whole situation is that our Prime Minister says that we cannot fight a war with U.S.
If you cannot fight a war for your country then why you are Prime Minister of this country , go and play with your kids. You do not have any right to be at leading position.
The truth of the matter is that there is no change at all from Musharraf policies to now. We have only witnessed the change of faces and nothing else. The slogan of PPP to change the system has faded so early and now there are scapegoats are needed for the failure.

ZArdari must restore Chief Justice

Presidential elections are over and Asif Zardari is the new President of Pakistan. Besides other issues there is a grave issue of judiciary. Judiciary is called a vital pillar of state but unfortunately in our country over nearly a year now, our judiciary is not working at all. PCO judges are reluctant to give any just decision as much as their own appointment and job is based on injustice.

The man behind all the chaos and confusion is none other than PPP law minister Farooq h.naik . He has proved himself a true successor of Wasi Zafar and also new Attorney General is not behind at all. These two men have given the task to confuse the whole situation and make these brave and just judges controversial.

Asif Zardari must not forget that by delaying the restoration of chief justice he is not only losing popular support but also it is hurting his reputation badly. Numerous deadlines given by Nawaz sharif for the restoration of judiciary has resulted in breaking of the coalition government and if Zardari want the government to stabilize and with with harmony with all segments of political parties then he must restore the judiciary on NOV,3 position.

It is point of great concern that second largest political party of this country do not believe in current judiciary and everyday the condemnation statements are issued by their Leadership. Just think what effect this would make on the layman who is unaware of whole situation.

Zardari has to realize by not restoring judiciary is he following the footsteps of Musharraf or the people who voted for him?.Late Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had also promised to restore chief justice and hoist the flag over his house by her hands.

Federer beats Murray to win 5th consecutive U.S open

It was a tournament which everyone predicting will also go to Rafael Nadal but they underestimate the greatest power of Federer who just lost his No1 ranking weeks ago.
On the other hand Murray beats world.no.1 Nadal which must have given huge confidence to him and relief to Federer because Federer has psychological problems with Nadal and thus Murray eased the way of Federer for 5th consecutive u.s open title .With his Federer has become the only man in history to posses two different titles for 5 consecutive years,U.S open and Wimbledon.

Zardari got elected President

sep,6:Asif Ali Zardari has been elected the President of Pakistan by overwhelming majority. He replaces a military retired general who got elected for first tie just last year but he could not even complete his one year as elected President.

It is an occasion for shame for all those who voted for Musharraf on Oct,6 last year. They must have thought why their President did not completed one year term as elected President.

Asif Zardari being the first civilian President after 9 years has to work diligently to bring this country out of this chaos and poor condition.Only time will tell whether he proves an independent,non-political President or President like Musharraf.

Appraising gestures are shown by Mian Nawaz Sharif and congratulations are also given by Mushahid Hussain Syed.It seem that both candidates have admitted their defeat and it seems that country is now progressing towards non -confrontationst politics where all parties can say whatever they do.

It is a heartening scene we witnessed yesterday that three candidated participated in elections whereas last year Presidential elections saw just one uniformed president contested elections.

Horse trading on high

As just 4 days left for Sept,6 presidential elections the country is going to suffer greatly if horse trading for elections continue to go on.
It is a fact that Zardari is a controversial man and he himself said that the next president will be by the agreement of all coalition partners then why he not kept his words and broke his promise.
It seems that Zardari has a psychological or mental problem of not keeping his words and pacts. If that is the case then it can be extremely dangerous for this country.
Former president Musharraf also signed a pact with MMA and later he called it the fault of tongue when he failed to fulfill it .
If we look on our history we will find that we have life long history of making promises to nation and not keeping them either it 90 days of Zia ,31st December of Musharraf or 30 days of Zardari.
A country where its politicians and people in charge of government don't keep their promises cannot be a progressive country any time in future nor it can be hoped.

Musharraf's prophecy comes true

Just days after the decision to impeach Musharraf was announced ,Musharraf said in his one interview that Zardari himself wants to become President in place of me and Zardari very next day announced that i am ot a candidate for President.
Nation must remember that Zardari is a person who did not fulfill his written promise three times with his close coalition and thus with this nation. How can he expect us to believe that he will fulfill his promises next time. The fact of the matter is that as long as BB was alive she never allowed him to get out of hospitals and when BB died he felt that this is a golden opportunity for me to become a leader but leaders don't spend their whole lives in hospitals nor in jails.
It will be a mockery of this nation if an unfit and ill person becomes the President of this country.we got away from Musharraf but one think it is the same man without uniform.

Ahmed Faraz has passed away

Ahmed Faraz ,a legendary and perhaps greatest romantic poet of Pakistan has passed away. This news has sent a wave of deep sorrow and regret all over the country. He was renowned all over the world and an inspiration for millions around the world.
It was just under a year when i first met him infront of supreme court of Pakistan .He was also attending the protest against Musharraf candidacy for 3rd time president alongwith lawyers and our police honoured him with tear gas .He could not control his tears and was gone from the scene soon.
His poetry will be a torch for the lovers ,a serenity for old and motivation for brave.
May ALLAH rest his soul in peace.
On his sad demise i start 2 weeks of mobile-off in his sorrow.i also appeal to whole nation to join me in this noble act in memeory of Late Ahmed faraz.

Coalition breakage-matters of days

It is evident now that coalition is going to break in the coming week and judges are not going to be restored .But what we gained after departure of musharraf if the judges are not restored.
This nation will not forgive zardari and ppp if judiciary is not restored.PPP must remember that if people can oust musharraf then why not zardari.Zardari must remember this in mind.

Friday 8 August 2008

Musharraf reluctant to move on

Past nine years have seen Musharraf never so hesitant to move on and take decisions to move forward and it is understandable when 16 million people rejected a person ,hardly anyone thought he could stay that long after Feb,18 elections.
Ruling coalition has announced for the impeachment of
MusharrafIt shows a moral victory of Nawaz Sharif's stand that of impeachment of Musharraf and restoration of judiciary on Nov,3 position .Although Mr .Zardari has never met Musharraf but his ministerslike Ahmed mukhtar ,Farooq naik and Shah mehmood qureshi has time to time adviced Musharraf to carry on his duties as President.
Atleast state of confusion has ended now after the yesterday's press conference in presence of all coalition partners.Moulna Fazlur Rahman has bad habit of taking everything in negative perspective so is all the local molvis of aours.Whatever the condition may be ,he will try to give it a negative colour. He is an absent minded person and closely resembles with bloody altaf hussain of mqm.
How Nawaz sharif and Asif ZArdari change the system of evil developed over the last 8 years in this country is a big question mark.First of all they must bring loyal people on top positions and sideline people like Farooq A .Naik ,Ahmed Mukhtar and Lateef Khosa.

Wednesday 6 August 2008

coalition comes with decision finally

Coalition has finally came up with some decision .Meetings over meetings ending fruitless had embarrased the public badly but now it seems that there is some decision on the biggest issues of judges restoration and impeachment o mushararf.

There is a saying it is better to be late than never .That exactly has happened but the crooks in PPP like Farooq a.Naik and Lateef Khosa must be kept under control and they must be pushed back in government to avoid motr desperation.

Tuesday 5 August 2008

coalition in shakles

As two ig guns meet in Islamabad ,the tension is rising to highest levels.

coalition was never stronger than today ever since the deadline expired of judges restoration.but the real misery of situation is Musharraf ,if Musharraf is sacked and there is a new president than no one will object the oath taking of sacked judges from the president again.

2005 Kashmir earthquake

2005 Kashmir earthquake
The 2005 Kashmir Earthquake (also known as the South Asian earthquake or the Great Pakistan earthquake) was a major earthquake centred in Azad Kashmir (Pakistan-administered Kashmir) and in North West Frontier Province (NWFP). It occurred at 08:50:38 Pakistan Standard Time (03:50:37 UTC) on 8 October 2005. It registered a debatable 7.6 or 7.7 on the Richter scale making it similar in intensity to the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, 1935 Quetta earthquake, and the 2001 Gujarat earthquake. As of 8 November, the government of Pakistan's official death toll was 79,000, while officials say nearly 1,400 people also died in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir (Indian-administered Kashmir) and four people in Afghanistan. The severity of the damage caused by the quake is attributed to severe upthrust, coupled with poor construction.
Human impact
People lived in mountainous regions with access impeded by landslides that blocked the roads, leaving an estimated 3.3 million homeless in Pakistan. The UN reported that 8 million people were directly affected, prior to the commencement of winter snowfall in the Himalayan region. It is estimated that damages incurred are well over US$ 5 billion (300 billion Pakistani rupees) [1] Five crossing points were opened on the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan to facilitate the flow of humanitarian and medical aid to the affected region, and international aid teams from around the world came to the region to assist in relief.
The earthquake
Azad Kashmir lies in the area of collision of the Eurasian and Indian tectonic plates. [5]. The geological activity born out of this collision, also responsible for the birth of the Himalayan mountain range, is the cause of unstable seismicity in the region. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) measured its magnitude as a minimum of 7.6 on the moment magnitude scale, with its epicentre at [show location on an interactive map] 34°29′35″N, 73°37′44″E, about 19 km (11.8 miles) northeast of Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, and 100 km (65 miles) north-northeast of the national capital Islamabad. The earthquake is classified as "major" by the USGS. The hypocenter was located at a depth of 26 km (16.2 miles) below the surface [6]. The Japan Meteorological Agency estimated its magnitude at a minimum of 7.8. By comparison, the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake had a magnitude of 9.15. The earthquake caused widespread destruction in northern Pakistan, as well as damage in Afghanistan and northern India. The worst hit areas were Azad Kashmir, Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province (NWFP), western and southern parts of the Kashmir valley. It also affected some parts of the Pakistani province of Punjab, the capital city of Islamabad, and the city of Karachi experienced a minor aftershock of magnitude 4.6. There have been many secondary earthquakes in the region, mainly to the northwest of the original epicentre. A total of 147 aftershocks were registered in the first day after the initial quake, of which one had a magnitude of 6.2 [6] Twenty-eight of these aftershocks occurred with magnitudes greater. On October 19, a series of strong aftershocks, one with a magnitude of 5.8, [6] occurred about 65 km (40.5 miles) north-northwest of Muzaffarabad. [7] There have been more than 978 aftershocks with a magnitude of 4.0 and above, as of 27 October 2005 [8] that continue to occur daily. (See USGS for a list of recent aftershocks and effects.) Since then, measures from satellites have shown, that mountain parts directly above the epicenter have risen by a few meters, giving ample proof, that the rising of the Himalayas are still going on, and that this earthquake was a consequence of that.[9]
Casualties
Most of the casualties resulting from the earthquake were in Pakistan administered Kashmir where the official confirmed death toll is 74,698, putting it higher than the massive scale of destruction of the 1935 Quetta earthquake. Nearly 1,400 people died in Indian-administered Kashmir, according to officials. [10] International donors have estimated that about 86,000 died but this has not been confirmed or endorsed by Pakistani authorities.

As Saturday is a normal school day in the region, most students were at schools when the earthquake struck. Many were buried under collapsed school buildings. Many people were also trapped in their homes and, because it was the month of Ramadan, most people were taking a nap after their pre-dawn meal and did not have time to escape during the earthquake. Reports indicate that entire towns and villages were completely wiped out in Northern Pakistan with other surrounding areas also suffering severe damage.

"...a second, massive wave of death will happen if we do not step up our efforts now", Kofi Annan said on 20 October with reference to the thousand remote villages in which people are in need of medical attention, food, clean water and shelter and the 120,000 survivors that have not yet been reached." [11]

According to Pakistan's Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Sherpao, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz

"made the appeal to survivors" on 26 October to come down to valleys and cities for relief, [2] because bad weather, mountainous terrain, landslides and blocked roads are making it difficult for relief workers to reach each house and the winter snows are imminent."
Damage
Indian-administered Kashmir

* 1,500 houses were destroyed in Uri. About 90% of the families living in the town, which has a population of 30,000, were affected by the quake. *More than 1,100 houses were flattened in Indian Kashmir. The main minaret of the Hazratbal shrine, which is believed to house a relic of the prophet Muhammad was damaged. [12]
* The 200-year-old Moti Mahal fort in Poonch district, Kashmir, collapsed. [13]
* Buildings in Delhi and Amritsar were damaged, and tremors caused panic in Gujarat.
* The tremors were also felt in Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.
* There were over 1300 dead
International response
Many countries, international organizations and non-governmental organizations have offered relief aid to the region, in the form of donation as well as relief supplies including food, medical supplies, tents and blankets.

Rescue and relief workers were sent to the region from different parts of the world and they brought along rescue equipment, including helicopters and rescue dogs.

The United Nations has appealed for donations to raise at least US$272 million to help victims of the quake.
Houses Constructed by Lions Clubs International

The International Association of Lions Clubs (LCI) & Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) donated an amount of US$ 892,000/- for the reconstruction of 150 houses along with supporting infrastructure and a water supply system at Village Anwar Sharif, Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir.

The project was completed in July 2007 and the houses were handed over to their occupants by the International Director of Lions Clubs International, Lion Malik Khuda Baksh on July 26, 2007. Mr. Raja Zulqarnain Khan, President of the Azad Kashmir was the Chief Guest of the Ceremony.

A team of volunteer New York City paramedics travelled to the remote villages of Kashmir two weeks after the earthquake and treated over 200 patients a day in a two week relief effort.[14]

Many international relief organizations remain, particularly in the hard hit areas of NWFP and rural Kashmir [15].
1935 Balochistan earthquake
The 1935 Balochistan Earthquake (Urdu: بلوچستان زلزلہ) occurred on May 31, 1935 at 3:02am at Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan, then part of British India. The earthquake had a magnitude of 7.7 Mw[1] and anywhere between 30,000 and 60,000 people died from the impact. This ranks as one of the deadliest earthquakes that hit South Asia.[1] The quake was centred 4.0 kilometres South West of Ali Jaan, Balochistan, British India.[1]
The earth quake
Quetta and its neighbouring towns lay in the most active seismic region of Pakistan atop the Chamman and Chiltan fault lines. A disturbance in the geological activity resulted in an earthquake early in the morning on 31 May 1935 estimated anywhere between the hours of 2:30 am[1] and 3:40 am[2] which lasted for three minutes with continuous aftershocks. Although there were no instruments good enough to precisely measure the magnitude of the earthquake, modern estimates cite the magnitude as being a minimum of 7.7 Mw on the Richter magnitude scale and previous estimates of 8.1 Mw are now regarded as an overestimate. The epicentre of the quake was established to be 4-kilometres south-west of the town of Ali Jaan in Balochistan, some 153-kilometres away from Quetta in British India. The earthquake caused destruction in almost all the towns close to Quetta including the city itself and tremors were felt as far as Agra, now in India. The largest aftershock was later measured at 5.8 Mw occurring on 2 June 1935.[1] This however did not cause any damage in Quetta but the towns of Mastung, Maguchar and Kalat were seriously affected by this aftershock.[1]
